Northampton Municipal Church Charity

Welcome to our website

The Northampton Municipal Church Charity and St Thomas House have existed since the 15th Century. St. Thomas was first founded in about 1450 for the benefit of those in need in the town and that is still why we are here today.

Originally twelve people were maintained in what was then called a hospital with a small weekly allowance and with clothing and fuel provided. The house now has 19 self contained one bedroomed flats which are available as sheltered accommodation and there is a resident warden.

In addition to running St Thomas House the charity provides grants to individuals living in Northampton and to Northampton charities working all for those in need for any reason.
